Kannur is a major railhead in the Southern Railway (SR) zone. It serves as a fantastic railfanning location due to its clean platform lines, clear visibility for approaching trains, and the steady echo of diesel and electric locomotives bouncing off the station roof.

There is nothing more nostalgic for an Indian railfan than a clear station announcement. My video starts with the iconic “May I have your attention please...” chime, alerting passengers of the approaching 06013 Thiruvananthapuram to Madar Special Fare Summer Special.
